66: (R18) Light up the skies

There was a storm tonight and the sky outside was absolutely amazing! Storms are an interesting sort of thing… I don’t like rain, not because of how it looks or anything (I actually enjoy watching it rain over bodies of water heh), but cause it’s wet… and I don’t like getting wet haha! However, visually, thunderstorms are simple astounding! As I was driving home, I was occasionally greeted with a sky beautifully filled with cascading ripples of lightning! Simply wonderful!

Also, what a privilege… that as followers of Christ, we can look past the beauty and power of creation, see it’s Creator and worship. This creation is simply a reflection of His power and beauty! What an amazing God!

65: (R19) Need

Seeing more and more the pain, imperfections, inabilities, brokenness and evil that exist within this world… I don’t think we understand just how much we need God. I don’t think we understand just how much we need Jesus Christ, not just at the point of salvation… but at every moment of every day.

As the days progress, it seems that the busyness of life can often lessen time spent with the Lord. Personal time spent alone with Him, talking with Him, hearing from His Word… just being with Him.

I am reminded once again… the necessity of making time for Him.
